So I’m not sure how this whole “blogging” thing works, or how this will look, or where it will show up, or what have you, but I’ll just take a stab at it.

I really loved “Wind in the Wires,” more for the recording than for the song.  I think lo-fi recording is rapidly becoming more and more of a lost art and an intentional artistic decision or direction, which then subsequently and unfairly becomes labeled as pretentious.  

Despite the fact that I would classify it as a lo-fi recording it’s also incredibly well orchestrated; the pulsing distorted acoustic guitars, the messy crawl of thumps, the ethereal vocals that float above it all on the synthesized “wind.”  It is at once both rough and majestic, an anxious cinematic scene.
